CAC OKE ADEYE INSTALLS OLUMUYIWA ADU AS BABA IJO AS CHURCH CELEBRATES 7TH ANNIVERSARY
The Christ Apostolic Church of Christ (CAC), Oke Adeye Ogo-Oluwa, Akure has celebrated its 7th Anniversary and 4th Annual Convention on Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025 amidst joy, thanksgiving and peagantry, underscoring the magnificence of Almighty God in the life of Evangelist Tolu Adelegan as a global gospel Singer and the Founder of the church.
Evangelist Tolu Adelegan (JP) is an Ondo State- based spiritual Singer who has harvested so many souls for Christ through her soul- winning songs and her weekly prayer programme tagged “No curse for my children” . To the glory of God, there are also many blockbuster albums to her credit.
Sharing her experience, she appreciated God for strengthening her at the earlier stage of being called by God to service.
” Despite my strong religious background, I almost abandoned the calling and turned against the divine instructions from God. At that time, the mission was very demanding. I found it very difficult to combine evangelism and domestic chores with my musical career” she reminisced.
She also narrated the ordeals of her biological father during his years of pastoring from one church to another.
“My father laboured so much for God and worked tirelessly to plant church branches across many rural communities without material compensations.This usually distracted my mind to hearken quickly to the divine call in those days”, She admitted.
She appreciated her husband, Elder Olusola Adelegan for his encouragement and her spiritual father, Prophet Oladeji Ezekiel for nurturing her faith and Ministry with prayers and advice which reflected in her courage that garnished her knowledge to overcome the temptations and challenges she encountered as a female Preacher and Prayer Warrior.
She also regaled how God had used individuals like Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu to support her ministry financially during the construction of her gigantic church auditorium when all hope was lost.
The highlight of the celebration included the installation of individuals who had served meritoriously before the Lord and contributed significantly to the progress of the body of Christ.
The worthy Ambassadors were:
1) Dr (Barrister) Olumuyiwa Adu (Cubana)- Baba Ijo.
2) Mrs Taye Omolafe, the wife of late Hon. Adedayo Omolafe (Expensive) – Iya Ijo
3) Mrs Emily Adesida- Mama Ijo Agba.
4) Chief Olabode Adebiyi -Life Patron of Ayonitemi Gospel Ministries and
5) Mrs Tedunjaye – Iya Ewe of the church.
Dr Olumuyiwa Adu, in his emotion- laden response, shed tears of joy as he reflected on his journey and the extent of God’s benevolence over his endeavours.
” Seeing me being celebrated always pushes me to tears. I am not the most brilliant person nor am I the wisest in my family but the favour of God promoted me to my present position. I thank God Almighty for His favour”, He confessed.
The APC Chieftain further stated that his generosity was not for political gains but to acknowledge the grace of God in his life.
He reaffirmed his continued support for the church while sermonising on the rewards of sowing into the work of God.
Urging the Christians on working for God through humanity, the Guest Minister, Evangelist Tope Olutokun aka ‘Ase Irorun’ prayed for the Convener, the new titles’ recipients, the visiting ministers, the church members and all other attendees who graced the occasion.
