The Catholic Diocese of Ondo has fixed Friday, June 17, 2022 for the mass burial of the victims who were killed in the terror attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State last week Sunday.
No fewer than 40 people died in the attack while many others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The Director of Social Communication of the Diocese of Ondo, Rev. Fr. Augustine Ikwu confirmed the development.
He said the mass burial would take place at a new cemetery at Otapete on Emure Road in Owo.
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had joined the Christian Association of Nigeria on Sunday for a special prayer at the church premises after which he also visited the victims receiving treatment in hospitals.
