
CHRIST’S SCHOOL 80-85 SET UNVEILS RENOVATED DORMITORY VALUED AT 35MILLION NAIRA
…As Set Chairman, Prince Adejumoke Agunbiade Assures Of More Impactful Projects
The Christ School Alumni Association 80/85 Set has donated the renovated dormitory worth of N35 million Naira to its Alma mater which marked the height of its week-long 40th Homecoming Anniversary celebration .
The remodeled and renovated dormitory was commissioned on Saturday 18th October, 2025 by the Set Chairman, Prince Adejumoke Agunbiade, in the presence of the Global National President of the Christ School Alumni Association , Mr Lawal Kunle Jinadu who was represented by the National Secretary General, Honourable Jide Eegunjobi and the dormitory was handed over to the school Principal venerable Oso Oluwarotimi after the commissioning.
Earlier, the National President, Mr Kunle Lawal Jinadu expressed happiness for the donation, he described the development as very outstanding and an indication that Christ School Ado Ekiti will continue to remain a foremost and famous school across the globe as its products are doing well across the world.
Mr Lawal Kunle Jinadu congratulated the class of 80/85 that celebrated their post 40th graduation and hosted this year Global Homecoming celebration, for doing the school proud in all ramifications.
The Set Chairman Prince Adejumoke Agunbiade, expressed the excitement of the entire members of Christ School Alumni Association 80/ 85 Set for the accomplishment of the project which he described as a project that is very dear to the hearts of the entire Set members .
“They all contributed their hard earned money not only to carry out the remodelling and renovation of the dormitory but also to celebrate the week-long programmes of the Homecoming Anniversary which cost multi-millions of Naira.
Later the same day , Gala nite and Awards ceremony took place at the Adetiloye Hall, the State owned Fountain Hotel , Basiri, old Iyin road,Ado Ekiti where members and Guests were treated to sumptuous meals.
The National President of the Global Christ School Alumni Association, Mr Lawal Kunle Jinadu was presented with Presidential Award of Excellence, others that were awarded included the National Secretary, Honourable Jide Eegunjobi, the 80/85 Set Chairman , Prince Adejumoke Agunbiade, past Set Chairmen, Exco members and other members of the Set as well as a couple who are equally members of the Set Dr Oluwole and Mrs Mojisola Bamidele Oluwole
In the same vein, the Set members paid royal homage to the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe CON, JP and thereafter, the celebrating Set visited the Ikogosi warm spring as part of the lined up programmes for the Homecoming Anniversary.
Also, career talk and distribution of souvenirs were given to all students during the programme while new Public Address System was presented to the school for use during its Public functions.
on Sunday, 19th October thanksgiving service took place at the Lord’s Chapel,within the Christ School compound, the Lord Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Anglican Communion,His Lordship, RT Rev Dr Andrew Olusola Ajayi, appreciated the Global Alumni Association of the school , other class Sets and acknowledged their Passion and commitment to make the school great. He prayed for God’s guidance, blessings and protection in all their undertakings and endeavours .
Thanksgiving service was attended by members of 40th year of leaving school of 1985/85 Set, 45th year Anniversary leaving school of 1975/80 Set and 50th year of leaving school of 1971/75
The programme was attended by very important personalities who were old students of the above listed classes too numerous to mention among whom are : the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, His Royal Majesty, the Olojudo of Ido Ekiti, in Ido Osi Local Government Area, the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, in irepodun/ Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State , Ambassador, Dr (Mrs) Eniola Ajayi etc
On Sunday after the Thanksgiving Service , the baton of homecoming was handed over to the leadership of the next host Set class 81/86 for the year 2026 Global Homecoming Anniversary Celebration.
