
COCOA FARMERS ALLIANCE ASSOCIATION OF AFRICA GETS INAUGURAL ADVISORS, COUNTRY DIRECTORS AND BOARD MEMBERS
…As Global President, Adeola Adegoke says move will strengthen industry’s global competitiveness
The Cocoa Farmers Alliance Association of Africa (COFAAA), a pan-African membership organization umbrella for the smallholder cocoa farmers whose chapters cut across cocoa producing origins countries such as Ghana, Cote d’ Ivoire, Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda and others have ratified the election and appointments of her inaugural advisors, country directors and board members.
According to a statement signed by the Global President of COFAAA, Comrade Adeola Adegoke, the pan-African umbrella organisation is poised to unite cocoa farmers to drive collaboration and innovation in tackling the industry’s most significant challenges.
In his words, “at COFAAA, our mission is to champion sustainable practices, empower farmers, and safeguard the long-term sustainability of the global cocoa ecosystem”.
“This strategic step marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s mission to unify smallholder cocoa farmers across Africa, promote sustainable cocoa production and strengthen the industry’s global competitiveness through collaborations with stakeholders”
Speaking at the official announcement, the Global President who also doubles as the National President of Cocoa Farmers Association of Nigeria (CFAN) and the Director-General of Cocoa Roundtable Initiative (CORI), described the elections/appointments as a “round peg in a round hole and critical move towards establishing a robust leadership framework for the organisation in Africa that reflects the diverse voices and expertise within Africa’s cocoa-producing nations’ chapter.”
The ratified elected/appointed COFAAA board team include:
Mr. Nabyoullah DOSSO – General Secretary, COFAAA & Country Director, Cote d’Ivoire.
Mr. EPIE Promise Ngol’epie – Director of Finance, COFAAA & Country Director, Cameroon.
Mr. Nana Yaw Reuben – Director of Publicity, COFAAA & Country Director, Ghana.
Mr. Nsidibe Etim – Chief Technologist, COFAAA & Country Director, USA.
Dr. Ayobami Oyedare – Advisor General & Country Director, UK.
Dr. Renuka Thakore – Advisor on Technical Matters, UK.
Prince Ajinga Justin Tanyi – Board Member & Cameroon.
Mr. Naturinda Kenneth – Country Director, Uganda.
