COMMUNICATION EXPERT, DR. FELIX ALE FELICITATES AIYEDATIWA, URGES PARTNERSHIP WITH CO-CONTESTANTS
A prominent son of Oka-Akoko in Akoko Southwest local government area of Ondo State, Dr. Felix Ale has felicitated the incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on the landslide victory recorded in the 2024 governorship election.
Dr. Ale who is also the Director of Media and Corporate Communications at the National Space Research and Development Agency of Nigeria said the wide margin in the outcome of the polls signals the popularity and high level of acceptance of the candidate and the party.
The Communication expert in a statement emphasized that the victory recorded is not unconnected with the unique personality and leadership style of the governor who has been running an all-inclusive government since assumption of office in December last year.
While describing the peaceful conduct of the election as a great encouragement for the nation’s democracy, Ale urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to be magnanimous in victory.
In his words, “there is no enemy to fight as this is the time for all stakeholders to team up towards the development of the Sunshine State for the overall benefits of our people.
The governor should embrace all those who contested with him as they should also be courageous to support the Governor in moving the state forward.
“It is the first time an Ilaje man has been elected governor in Ondo State, saying Aiyedatiwa victory is a resounding victory for the Ilajes in particular and must be supported by all including the candidate of the main opposition, Agboola Ajayi who also comes from same area as the incumbent”, Ale stressed.
“This is the time for Aiyedatiwa and Agboola Ajayi to work together to consolidate on the achievements of their late boss, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN as the expectations of the citizens are high”, the communication expert said.
“It is high time we began to emulate the advanced countries while practicing democracy. Take a look at the recent election in the United States and by now, the Kamala Harris team are already thinking America first and that’s the spirit we should embrace”, the Oka-Akoko-born Communication scholar added.
“With this resounding victory which I considered very historic in the political history of the state, the time for electioneering campaign has come and gone.It is now time to collectively map out strategies in love and unity for good governance to usher in radical progress and development in Ondo State during Aiyedatiwa led administration.”
