CONCERNED OKITIPUPA APC LEADERS REAFFIRM LOYALTY, SUPPORT FOR AIYEDATIWA AHEAD PARTY CONGRESSES
The Concerned APC leaders in Okitipupa local government area of Ondo State have pledged their support and loyalty to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the congresses of the party.
The various leaders who spoke with newsmen in Akure following the display of interests and competition arising ahead of the congresses.
The leaders who spoke after a meeting in the state capital are from Okitipupa Constituency 1 and 2 in the southern senatorial district.
Those in attendance at the meeting include former President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees and retired Permanent Secretary in the state, Dr. Tunde Monehin who is also the Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Special Assistant to Governor on Mobilisation, Hon(Mrs) Bayo Aina, Special Assistant to Governor, the Special Assistant to Governor and APC Secretary in the local government, Seun Ikulala and APC Leader, Dr. Alex Akindele(a.k.a Labuta as well as Engr Ogunjimi Olumide, State Youth leader and Youth Director for Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization for Tinubu (LACOT)
Others are former house of assembly candidate and serving Special Assistant to Governor on Mobilisation, Hon. Olowolafe Aderarami, APC leader, Hon. Akinyele Ademusere, former councillor in Okitipupa local government, Hon. Tola Adeyelu as well as APC leader, Hon. Tunde Akintelure and Femi Ayejusunle who is a Senior Special Assistant to Minister of Youth Development.
In a unanimous decision, the Concerned Okitipupa APC Leaders condemn in clear terms any attempt to bring the name of the Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to disrepute as regards the fast approaching party Congresses at all levels.
“We are advising everyone in Okitipupa Constituency 1 and 2 to refrain from any action that can tarnish the image of the party, the Governor and Okitipupa local government area in general”.
“We reaffirm and support the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa in line with the constitution of All Progressives Congress”.
The group stated that since the emergence of Dr. Aiyedatiwa as Governor, Okitipupa local government and the southern senatorial district has continued to witness tremendous Interventionist programmes and policies that have imparted positively on the lives of the people.
This, the leaders said include the construction of Igbotako township roads and the flag off of Omotoso – Iju-Odo road project which they said would improve socio-economic and political development of the area.
While noting that it is not new to find a ‘Judas’ among disciples, the group expressed concern that most people the governor had trusted have become saboteurs.
The group therefore warned that the Concerned Okitipupa APC Leaders would resist any move to drag the name of the Governor and the leadership of the party in the state in the mud.
