DEJI OF AKURE NOMINATES CULTURE AND TOURISM PROMOTER SOMI AJAYI FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
The Deji of Akure has nominated a prominent culture and tourism promoter in the ancient kingdom, Mr. Oluwasomi Ajayi for Community Service Award.
According to a letter of nomination personally signed by the traditional authority and sighted by Naija Parrots, the conferment of the prestigious award will hold during the forthcoming 10th coronation anniversary of the traditional ruler.
The event has been slated for July 19th, 2025 and will be held at the Democracy Park located in the heart of the capital city.
In a chat with the awardee, Mr Oluwasomi Ajayi, he described the development as a challenge to continue to be available for the socio-economic and political development of the ancient city.
Mr. Ajayi is well known to be a passionate culture and tourism promoter with special interest in both personalities and collective responsibilities of the city.
Mr. Ajayi worked in the Ondo State Radio Corporation ODRC) and Ondo State RadioVIsion Corporation(OSRC) before his deployment to the state Statistics Department of the State government.
