DEMOCRACY DAY: US-BASED IJARE-BORN PHILANTHROPIST SAMUEL AJAYI URGES SUPPORT FOR DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE
As Nigeria marks another Democracy Day, a United States-based philanthropist and grassroot politician from Ijare in Ondo State, Samuel Àjàyí has congratulated Nigerians on their resilience and commitment to democratic ideals.
In a statement, the philanthropist emphasized that democracy remains a vital pillar of any progressive society, noting that it gives voice to the voiceless, fosters unity, promotes freedom, and ensures that participation in governance is collective.
“Democracy is a sacrifice that must be held in high esteem, especially in a time like this when our nation needs love, unity, and collective effort to move forward,” he said.
Samuel Ajayi commended the efforts of Nigeria’s past heroes who fought tirelessly to establish and preserve democracy in the country.
He called on Nigerians to join hands with the present administration under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt at the grassroots.
“Together, we can overcome challenges and move mountains. Let us support the democratic process and work with the authorities to build a nation where everyone benefits from good governance,” he added.
Mr Ajayi’s message comes as a call to national unity and civic responsibility, urging all citizens to continue nurturing democracy for a better and more inclusive Nigeria.
