DISARRAY IN ‘THE NIGERIAN PROJECT’ AS KEY OFFICERS RESIGN, ALLEGE LACK OF FOCUS AND INSINCERITY
The National Publicity Secretary of The Nigerian Project, Seun Adetola has resigned his position.
In a statement, the media practitioner hinged his decision on the level of distraction and lack of focus as well as insincerity by the leadership of the group.
“In his words, “I can’t continue to run with a group run by an individual where members and stakeholders don’t have a say.”
“The Nigerian Project is said to be a group that has the interest and unity of the country as its priority but unfortunately, for over a year that I have been part of this, none can determine the focus”.
“We have a group solely run by an individual with unusual high-handedness without regards for other people’s opinion”.
“For me, it is better to stay away than to belong to a group where one’s intellectual inputs are taken for granted and not even recognised”.
“I can beat my chest today that for over one year that I have been part of this group with the aim of contributing my quota that I have never received a dime from either the leadership or any individual in the group”.
“How do you explain a situation where a complete executive of a state is removed from the national platform because they air their views? How do you explain a situation where people are removed from the platform without prior warning? All as a result of autocratic administration of the leadership”.
“It is on record that many of the state coordinators are resigning while members are quitting due to what they described as lack of focus and insincerity as most don’t even know where they belong just as the TNP is just a tool in the hand of an individual to gain recognition”.
The media practitioner therefore stated that he is done with the group to sustain his integrity and professional recognition he has built over the years.
