DR AWODEYI-AKINSEHINWA EXTOLS VIRTUES OF LATE ONDO SSG, TEMITAYO OLUWATUYI a.k.a TUYKANA
With profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss, I bid farewell to a brother and confidant, Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi (Tuykana), a man whose passing on January 4, 2025, has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
The circumstances surrounding his departure after a 14-day battle for his life following a tragic car accident in December have shocked and saddened me, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Tuykana was not just a prominent figure in Ondo State’s political landscape, but a man of remarkable humility, integrity, and commitment to the service of others.
His life was a testament to the values of simplicity and hard work, values that defined him both in his public and private life.
Throughout his career, he wore his positions with grace and never allowed the trappings of power to overshadow his genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of ordinary people.
As SSG he left an indelible mark on the communities he served.
His contributions were not just in the form of policies and decisions but through his actions, which spoke louder than words.
He consistently advocated for the development of infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social services, all of which he believed were vital to improving the quality of life for the people of Ondo State.
Beyond his work as SSG, Tuykana’s influence as Ondo State Coordinator for President Bola Tinubu’s campaign council was felt throughout Nigeria.
His work was not about titles or recognition; it was about making a difference.
As a friend and brother, Tuykana was warm, caring, and loyal. He approached every relationship with sincerity, and his friendships were built on trust and mutual respect. He was a mentor to many, a guide to some, and a brother to all who truly knew him.
His laughter, wisdom, and guidance will be sorely missed, but we take solace in the fact that his legacy will live on through all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
I commiserate with my brother and friend, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State, during this great loss to his administration and the good people of Ondo State.
I pray that God Almighty grants you the fortitude to bear this tragic loss.
I extend my deepest condolences to the Oluwatuyi family during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with them, and I hope they find comfort in knowing that the life and work of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi will continue to inspire and guide us.
Rest in peace, Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi. You have left a lasting impact on Ondo State, and your memory will continue to inspire all of us. May your gentle soul rest in the peace of the Almighty.
