Dr Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu (Cubana) is now setting the stage for 2027 senatorial race amidst agitations by numerous well wishers across political borders and among the apolitical electorate who have been highly disappointed by the lack- lustre status quo.
Their popular demand is based on the necessity to inject new dimensions into legislation where competence, bravery, accountability and kindness will play prominent roles in the effective discharge of constitutional responsibilities and efficient delivery of democratic dividends to the long- suffering populace.
The APC Chieftain and famous philanthropist, Dr Barr Olumuyiwa Adu a.k.a Cubana is enjoying support and endorsements from different groups that are already building coalition of friends within and outside the senatorial district for his political project.
Dr Olumuyiwa Adu is one of the disciples of the late sage- Chief Obafemi Awolowo and a strong advocate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for second term through his grassroots mobilization formation – ONE VOICE NETWORK FOR ASIWAJU
He’s a former PDP candidate for the off- circle Akure North/ Akure South House of Representatives election in 2022 and a Deputy Director General (Ondo Central) for Aiyedatiwa governorship election in 2024.
Before venturing into politics, nature had equipped him with multiple talents and endowed him with abundant resources and recognitions that sufficiently attracted detractors’ envy
and allies’ admiration.
In his few years in politics, his sweet- sounding sobriquet -”ADU CUBANA” has become a sing -song for generosity, intellectualism, humility, outspokenness and capacity across the streets, among the peasants and the bourgeoisie.
His interventions have been providing financial reliefs for the youth, the sick, the elderly and the needy who want support and impacts under his NGO- OLUMUYIWA ADU FOUNDATION (OAF).
Dr Adu is always seen, during debates, interviews and speeches to have demonstrated his vast knowledge of complex national issues, solutions to the challenges of the downtrodden and the expectations of the citizenry from the elected and the appointed. He has become the beautiful bride of the press, the public and the politicians.
He has carved a niche for himself in the military, Oil and gas industry, legal profession, working in senior managerial capacities, possessing a vast network of acolytes, admirers and supporters.
As people are setting the different stages for the expected ambition, the decision of the popular political Chieftain to get clearances and required support from the leaders and majority of the stakeholders is yielding overwhelming results.
The masses, the clergy, the monarchs, the elite and the oligarchs are eagerly awaiting the official proclamation from the globally recognised man of tremendous substance and good will.
The race to the red chamber will be very interesting as Dr Adu is doting his ‘i’s’ & crossing his ‘t’s’ to add a lot of spices that will spring up surprises.
If supported to victory, he will go extra-legislative to assuage the feelings of the constituents by adding life and remedial infrastructure to the government assignments.
Dr Adu is vocal and ebullient with avowed passion for egalitarian society, progressive partnerships and developmental
ideologies.
Achieving great representative governance requires our support to select and/or elect competent leaders with the hearts that harbour unbundled love towards humanity and Democracy.
Our actions must give true meaning to the past sacrifices of our nationalists and the present renewed hope, and our time starts NOW!
