EFON AGOG FOR APC REPS CANDIDATE OMOLEYE AS HE RECEIVES MASSIVE ENDORSEMENT

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Efon Local Government Area on Saturday, 28th of January, 2023 trooped out in large numbers to receive the candidate of the party for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, Hon Biodun Omoleye as his campaign team met party faithful and critical stakeholders of Efon LGA.

The rustic city of Efon Alaaye was agog as critical stakeholders gave Omoleye and his team a rousing welcome and pledged their support for his candidature.

The former Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, visited the palace of Alaaye of Efon Alaaye, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adesanya Aladejare, to receive Royal blessings.

Omoleye was accompanied to Efon by his wife, Olusola, who also added glamour to the programmme by presenting various gift items to the women groups in the Local Government Area.

While speaking at the palace, Omoleye commended the Monarch for maintaining peace and order in his town.

Speaking further, Omoleye said he was not oblivious of the various challenges confronting the town, particularly ecological problem and promised to make it his priority, if elected.

In his reponse, Oba Aladejare, described Omoleye as a well known political figure in Ekiti politics. He thanked him for the visit and prayed for success in his election.

The Monarch also used the opportunity to appealed to all candidates from different political parties to make their campaigns issues based.

Earlier, Omoleye had a heart-to-heart engagement with APC leaders of Efon LGA and got their endorsement.

During the engagement one of the leaders of APC in Efon, former Deputy Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dapo Karounwi, who is the Director of Strategy for the Omoleye Campaign Organisation urged the people of Efon to vote massively for Omoleye because according to him a vote for Omoleye is a vote for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, BAO, and his humble self. The leaders, thereafter, unanimously endorsed Omoleye.

Omoleye also met with different groups in the town and got their endorsement. The Okada Riders Association and National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) respectively endorsed Omoleye and promised to ensure his victory at the poll, come February 25, 2023.

While addressing party faithful who gathered at the party’s secretariat, Omoleye promised to tackle youth unemployment and reduce poverty in his constituency. He also promised more robust and effective representation to bring dividends of democracy to the people.

Various speakers at the event, including the former Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Prof. Adio Folayan, Executive Chairman, Efon Local Government, Hon. Stephen Olabode, former member, EKHA, Hon. Gabriel Ogundele, APC Chairman in the local government, Mr Ojo Idowu, among others, called on voters to vote massively for Biodun Omoleye to represent them at the House of Representatives.

They all said, it’s payback time for Omoleye for all his previous good deeds to them and Efon LGA.
