In a goodwill message marking the end of Ramadan, the revered monarch described the celebration as a moment of immense joy and thanksgiving, emphasizing that the holy month of Ramadan instills values of patience, selflessness, and devotion to Allah’s commandments.
Oba Olofin-Adimula urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of love, kindness, and unwavering faith, which they cultivated during Ramadan. He noted that Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity for renewed commitment to peace, unity, and harmony in society.
> “As a people, we must strive to build bridges of understanding and cooperation, regardless of our differences. Islam teaches us the importance of brotherhood, tolerance, and respect for all. It is my fervent hope that we will continue to uphold these values in our communities,” the monarch stated.
The traditional ruler also called on Nigerians to support the less privileged, reminding them that the true essence of Eid lies in giving, sharing, and ensuring that no one is left behind. He encouraged continuous acts of charity beyond the Ramadan period.
Oba Olofin-Adimula further prayed for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria, urging leaders at all levels to govern with wisdom, justice, and fairness. He also appealed to citizens to remain law-abiding, promote dialogue over conflict, and contribute to national unity and progress.
Addressing his fellow traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community heads, the Iralepo of Isinkan stressed the need for collective efforts toward fostering peace and development in their respective domains.
> “Let us work together to create an environment where justice, fairness, and equity prevail, so that every citizen can thrive,” he said.
As the Muslim faithful celebrate the festival, the monarch reminded them that Eid is not just about feasting but also about gratitude. He called on everyone to express their thanks to Allah for His countless blessings and strive to be better individuals in their homes, workplaces, and society.
The Iralepo concluded his message with a prayer:
