EID-EL FITRI CELEBRATIONS: FORMER EKITI REPS HOPEFUL, DELE PHILIPS FELICITATES MUSLIMS, URGES PEACE AND UNITY
A former house of representatives aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Dele Philips has congratulated Muslims in the state on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
The APC leader stated this through his media aide, Iyiola Adetola Dele while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti the state capital.
Philips enjoined Muslims to take the lessons of sacrifice, care, and compassion exhibited during the fasting period beyond the Ramadan season.
The party chieftain specifically conveyed his message to faithful in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 comprising Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero local government areas of the state.
Philips advised the Muslims to continue to be good neighbours to one another and extend the spirit of the season to their neighbours.
He reminded the people of the state to continue to pray for the unity, peace, security, and prosperity of Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.
The APC leader urged faithful to continue to pray for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to keep justifying the confidence reposed in him.
He emphasized that various Interventions of the government have started changing the face of the state in terms of infrastructure, tourism development, human and societal development.
Philips also made reference to payment of pensions and gratuity as well as prompt payment of salaries, assuring that Governor Biodun Oyebanji means we’ll for the people and the land.
