

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr. Dele Philips has called on the Muslim faithful to use the Eid-El Kabir celebration to pray for the unity of Nigeria and socio-economic development of the nation.
In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Iyiola Oluborode, the founder of Dele Philips Foundation (DPF) said the Eid-El- Kabir symbolises faithfulness and submission to the will of God and emphasized that this should be emulated by the faithful.
Mr. Philips who commended the peaceful co-existence among Christians and Muslims in the State encouraged the celebrants to use the occasion to pray for peace and tranquility in the nation.
The APC Chieftain enjoined Nigerians to continue to have faith in God despite various challenges facing the nation, assuring that there would be light at the end of dark tunnel.
Dele Philips also prayed that the Muslim faithful would celebrate more and more Eid-El Kabir in peace and good health as he expresses the hope of a great improvement in the socio-economic and political development of the state and the country at large.
The APC leader who was Chairman of BAO Campaign Committee in Ekiti West local government area in the just concluded governoship election in the state appealed that all hands must be on deck to facilitate the much needed impactful governance in the state and the country.
