EKITI FORMER REPS ASPIRANT, DELE PHILIPS FELICITATES MUSLIMS, HARPS ON PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE
A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Dele Philips has felicitated Muslims in the state on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
He said the event emphasizes sacrifice, faith and obedience to the will of the Almighty.
Philips who spoke through a statement by his Media Aide, Iyiola Adetola and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti urged Muslim faithful to reflect on the essence of the occasion while he prayed that Allah accepts their acts of obedience.
While emphasizing the importance of sacrifice as an essential component of human existence, the former House of Representatives aspirant called for collective approach in the task of bringing about the required socio-economic and political development in the state and Nigeria in general.
The party leader also urged Muslims to pray for peace and unity in the country while celebrating with loved ones, stating that prayers play a lot of roles in the existence of humans
Philips used the occasion to acknowledge the giant strides being recorded by the state governor, Biodun Oyebanji since assumption of office, expressing the hope of better days ahead.
“We should also pray and support our governor to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to our people as we are already witnessing”.
“Unlike in the past, salaries are paid even before the month ends while priority is given to societal development as well as infrastructural revolution”.
