NPFL BOSS, GBENGA ELEGBELEYE GREETS MUSLIM FAITHFUL, SEEKS CONSCIOUS ALIGNMENTS ON LEAGUE OPERATIONS
Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye has felicitated and rejoiced with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eld-el Kabir celebration, charging them to cooperate with the operational reforms embarked upon by the present NPFL board.
The former Director-General of National Sports Commission who also called on the Muslim adherents to seek the face of Allah for Nigeria’s peaceful coexistence and unity during this festive season, said the alignments of stakeholders to the operations of the League towards the reforms will be a long term gains for Nigeria.
The alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife made this charge in his sallah message depicting peaceful coexistence across religious divides
“Warmest wishes from the board of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to all Muslim faithful. Allah, the most merciful and omnibenevolence will grant our requests and make this season the best possible opportunities to redefine development of Nigerian football.”
“While I use this occasion to seek the cooperation of stakeholders on the reform embarked upon by the board of NPFL, I want to implore all our Muslim brothers and sisters to always have the fear of God in their daily activities and work for the peace, progress and unity of Nigeria”.
The Ikare-Akoko born football administrator further called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the future of the country, charging them to keep trusting Allah for better days ahead.
Concluding, he charged all Nigerians, irrespective of religion and tribe to embrace peace, love and unity, which the Almighty Allah commands.
“I pray the Almighty Allah to spare our lives to witness more Eld-el Kabir festivities and celebrate the progress of Nigeria”.
