A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Dele Philips has felicitated the Muslim community in the State as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
The enterpreneur who spoke in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Iyiola Adetola and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti described the special day as a moment to reflect on the lessons of tolerance, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence which are the virtues of Prophet Muhammad.
Dele Philips enjoined Muslim faithful to use the celebration to pray for sustained peace, unity and collective progress of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.
He also implored people of the State to keep faith with the ongoing reforms of the federal government aimed at improving the economy of the Nation.
While expressing hope of light at the end of the dark tunnel, the party leader prayed that the leadership would continue to be guided aright in the task of repositioning the economy of the nation.
Dele Philips who acknowledged the religious harmony being witnessed in the state commended leaders of the faith-based organisations and urged them not to relent in praying for continued peaceful coexistence.
He added that no meaningful development could take place in a rancorous environment.
