EKITI APC LEADER, DELE PHILIPS HAILS GOVERNOR OYEBANJI’S GIANT STRIDES, US
WORKING VISIT
***We were sure that his antecedents as having been part of government at various levels would be an added advantage and the result is what we are witnessing today”
A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Dele Philips has hailed the giant strides being recorded by Governor Biodun Oyebanji across the state.
The former House of Representatives aspirant was speaking with newsmen shortly after visiting the Governor at the Ekiti State Liaison Office in Lagos after returning from a working visit to the United States of America.
Dele Philips said the US trip would further compliment all the giant strides being recorded across the state in the area of infrastructure, tourism, urban renewal, agricultural development as well as wealth creation and youth engagement.
In his words, “the world has actually become a global room not even a village any longer as the networking has been taken to a higher level. With the working visit of Governor Oyebanji to the US, there are hopes of more investment drives that would play significant roles in improving the socio-economic and political status of the state.”
According to him, “anyone who has been following development activities in our dear state would agree with me that the people didn’t make a mistake by choosing BAO as our governor”.
“We were sure that his antecedents as having been part of government at various levels would be an added advantage and the result is what we are witnessing today”, Philips stated.
“Apart from the various road projects being carried out and the completed ones across the state, the urban renewal effort would place Ekiti above many others among comity of states. This emphasises the more reason we should continue to support the governor in his quest to take Ekiti to greater heights”, the APC leader said.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the governor on media, Yinka Oyebode had indicated that “Governor Oyebanji, in the course of the working visit to America, had extensive talks with some heads of governments and institutions, business leaders and development partners, exploring investment opportunities for the state’s power infrastructure, the Special Agriculture Processing Zone and the Ekiti Knowledge Zone, among others”.
“These were outside his participation in the US-Africa Business Summit and the signing of MOU with CAVISTA Holdings for a multi billion naira 100,000 hectares cassava farm in the state.”
