EKITI APC STALWART, DELE PHILIPS CANVASSES SUPPORT FOR HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CANDIDATES IN SATURDAY POLLS
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti State, Mr. Dele Philips has appealed to the electorate in the state not to relent until they ensure the emergence of candidates for the House of Assembly election on the platform of the party on Saturday.
Philips made this known in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Iyiola Adetola in Ado-Ekiti on the level of preparations for the Saturday polls.
The party leader who was the Chairman of BAO Campaign Committee in Ekiti West local government area in the last governorship election specifically urged the people of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 comprising Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero local government areas to vote massively for APC candidates.
Philips who is also a member of the Presidential Campaign Committee in the state expressed happiness that the Governor, Biodun Oyebanji is justifying the confidence the people of Ekiti State reposed in him.
“Within the last few months of the existence of the Oyebanji administration, we can all attest to his high level of commitment to human and societal development with priority for infrastructural as well as tourism development”, Philips said.
“I want to assure our people that the All Progressives Congress, APC remains the best party with the various interventions that are being carried out just as Governor Biodun Oyebanji has continued to reflect his wealth of experience in governance by promoting the interest of the generality of the people”, the party stalwart stated.
The APC Chieftain who expressed appreciation to the people of the state for supporting the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to clinch the presidential seat charged the electorate to extend the love they showed the President-elect to the party’s candidates in the March 11 House of Assembly polls.
Philips who emphasized the importance of the house of assembly elections stressed that having an outstanding majority in the legislative arm of government would go a long way in enabling Governor Biodun Oyebanji to speed up business of governance.
He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to create a level playing field for all candidates in the House of Assembly elections as it was witnessed in the presidential election.
The party leader expressed optimism that the APC would also come out top during the forthcoming Saturday polls.
