
EKITI-BORN PHILANTHROPIST HARRISON NIYI ALONGE CONGRATULATES OGOGA OF IKERE ON SUCCESSFUL ‘ODUN OBA’ CELEBRATION
Mr. Harrison Alonge, an Ikere-born philanthropist,and advocate of good Governance in Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to the Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom,*Oba (Dr) Adejimi Adu-Alagbado, Agrilala II,* on this momentous occasion of Odun Oba 2025 celebration.
In a congratulatory message through his Media aide, Comrade Olawale Ezekiel and made available to the press in Ikere Ekiti reads;
The festival celebrates agriculture, heritage, and fertility of the land, marking the annual harvesting of farm products.
The Ogoga and his queen performed a royal dance, followed by homage from various interest groups, including traditional chiefs, palace queens, and professional organizations.
Notable installations at the epoch event included; Engr. Igbekele as Aare Atunluse, Alabi (a retired DIG) as Fiwajoye, and DIG (retired) Ojuawo as Akorewolu of Ikere Kingdom.
The celebration was attended by prominent figures, including the Asiwaju of Ikere Kingdom, Oloye Wole Olanipekun, and Senator Dayo Adeyeye, Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) among other prominent Leaders at the epoch event.
The Ogoga expressed appreciation to members of the Ogoga-in-Council, Ikere Traditional Council Members, and prominent individuals who contributed to the festival’s success and the development of Ikere Ekiti.
Interestingly, the 2025 Odun Oba celebration coincided with Mr. Harrison Alonge’s birthday, which was marked with a grand party.
According to a statement signed by his media aide, Ezekiel Olawale, Alonge wishes the Ogoga a prosperous year ahead and continued success in his role as Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.
