
EKITI GOVERNORSHIP: IPAC URGES ASPIRANTS, POLITICAL PARTIES TO ADHERE TO ELECTORAL LAWS
The Inter-Party Advisory Council in Ekiti State has encouraged all aspirants to conduct their campaigns with integrity, respect, and commitment to democratic principles.
The council emphasized that aspirants are expected to strictly follow the timetable set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to avoid any actions that may lead to disqualification.
In a statement, the Chairman of the council in Ekiti State, Comrade Owoola Daramola also urged aspirants and their supporters to adhere strictly to the electoral laws and guidelines by relevant authorities.
Daramola stressed that campaigns should be characterized by respect for fellow aspirants and their supporters while promoting a peaceful political environment.
“While this period is strictly for party politics and membership drive, aspirants are expected to utilize this time to solidify their party structures and mobilize support within the framework of their respective parties”.
“IPAC remains committed to fostering a conducive environment for free, fair, and transparent elections. We will continue to engage with all stakeholders to ensure that the electoral process reflects the will of the people of Ekiti State”.
Comrade Daramola wished all aspirants the best in their endeavors as he looked forward to a peaceful and issue-driven campaign season.
