The Ekiti Social Development Union has felicitated some of its members on their elevation and appointments into various positions both in their career and through political recognition.
The members are the Chief Security Officer to Ekiti State Governor, Dele Akinlua who was promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, Adedeji Adesokan who was appointed as Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oyebanji on Transportation as well as Oladapo Afeni who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller of Customs.
Mr. Seun Adetola who spoke on behalf of the group said the development is a great encouragement, noting that the elevated members have always been justifying the confidence reposed in them as public servants.
Adetola said those who work with politicians have never had their hands soiled in the process of playing their role in nation building while those serving as public servants have continued to be great ambassadors of the union.
He told Naijaparrots reporter, Demola Kunlere that Ekiti State Development Union is a socio-cultural group put in place to compliment efforts of government in achieving the Ekiti State dream of the founding fathers.
Adetola congratulated the appointees and urged them to see the elevation as a challenge to continue to do more for their immediate environment, Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.
The spokesperson said structures and processes are being put in place to ensure that the various objectives of the Union are achieved and also sustained.
Adetola emphasized that Ekiti State indigenes are known to be outstanding in sectors and assured that rallying points would continue to be created to achieve a collective task.
He urged the elevated members to ensure that they justify the confidence reposed in them and equally display the ‘Omoluabi’ values of an average Ekiti indigene when carrying out their assignments.
