The Chairman of Young Progressives Party(YPP) in Ekiti State, Comrade Owoola Daramola has emerged the new Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council in Ekiti State.
Comrade Owoola was sworn in on Friday at INEC Conference Hall in Ado-Ekiti the state capital.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Owoola Daramola promised to work with all relevant stakeholders in the process of ensuring unity among all players.
The Chairman who called on all political stakeholders to cooperate with him assured that relevant advice would be offered to government when necessary, saying Ekiti project is a collective task.
Daramola emphasized that he is a believer in participatory and all-inclusive governance as a panacea for healthy growth and development of any society.
“As Stakeholders in the Ekiti project, even though we all belong to different political parties, I intend to galvanise us all to help the government in rebuilding the society”, the new Chairman said.Comrade Owoola Adeleke Daramola is a native of Ayede Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He was
born about 51 years ago and attended both Christ’s Nursery &Primary School and St Michael’s Primary School Ajilosun Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State while growing up.
He had his secondary education at the noble academic institution that has raised giants over the years, Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Due to his diligence and zeal, he was made the timekeeper from class three and eventually became a prefect in his final year.
He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Economics from the Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University(EKSU).
He is married with children and currently lives in Ado Ekiti.
He had lived in England and the Republic of Ireland. He functioned as the President of Immigrants Ambassadors in the Republic of Ireland from the year 2002-2004.
He served as the Coordinator of Tami Initiative For Women and Child Development where he prudently managed donor funds to train and cater for 200 orphans and vulnerable children in Ekiti State from 2008 to 2010.
He was Executive Secretary, Lucky Ayo Refuge Foundation, where he coordinated and prudently managed donor funds to sensitize, test and refer people in Ado Ekiti and environs on cancer awareness in the year 2010 to the year 2016.
In the year 2019, he served as the pioneer Program Officer of Jacobs and Susan Elderly Foundation, where caregiving and home assistance were offered to senior citizens in Ado Ekiti.
He’s also the state Secretariat to the Ekiti Alliance (a socio-political group)
POLITICAL CAREER
He was the Governorship aspirant of the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) in 2007.
He joined Young Progressives Party in the year 2019, thereafter served in the capacity of the Acting State Secretary, Acting Publicity Secretary, Organising and Planning Secretary of the Young Progressives party.
Mr Owoola is a gentleman, fearless and a team player who has the interest of a good society and the masses of Ekiti State at heart. He is also a big mechanized farmer and currently the President of Ekiti State Pig farmers Association.
He is currently the State Chairman of the Young Progressives Party,
And today, he has won the seat of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) chairmanship election to become Ekiti State IPAC chairman.
