The leadership of Young Progressives Party in Ekiti State is intensifying efforts at ensuring that the party is strategically positioned in the approaching electoral activities in the state.
The party has since embarked on various steps that have continued to win more political actors to the fold as an alternative to the two major parties in the state.
The most recent was the commissioning of the party secretariat in Ikoro-Ekiti Ward in Ijero Local Government Area of the state.
Performing the ceremony attended by both members and leaders from the area as well as the state level, the state Chairman of the party, Owoola Daramola said YPP has come to change the narratives in the state.
The party chairman emphasized that structures and processes have been put in place for a robust mobilisation for political relevance in the state.
While calling on the people to vote for the candidate of the party in the June 18 governorship election, Daramola called on the party faithful to be steadfast and play their part in creating a new orientation that will benefit both the old and young in the area.
He said Debo Ranti Ajayi is capable of imparting positively on the lives of the people of Ekiti State and urged the people to keep mobilising for his success in the elections.
It was also a great opportunity for the promotion of the party’s candidate for the Ijero constituency two, Taiwo Ojo-Osungboye in the Ekiti State House of Assembly election.
This took the party faithful round strategic locations in Ikoro-Ekiti to create more awareness about the place of the party in the unfolding events in the state.
In an interview, the house of assembly candidate, Taiwo Ojo-Osungboye said she is prepared to effect a robust representation if given the opportunity to represent Ijero constituency two at the house of assembly.
