ENERGY TIMES AWARD: OYEBANJI DESERVES OUTSTANDING HONOUR, DELE PHILIPS FELICITATES EKITI GOVERNOR
The Vice Chairman of Asiwaju Tinubu Mandate Group in Ekiti State, Dele Philips has felicitated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Energy Governor of the Year Award.
The All Progressives Congress Chieftain said Oyebanji administration in has demonstrated outstanding leadership in improving local energy infrastructure.
A statement signed and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti by his Media Aide, Seun Adetola says one of the numerous interventions is the distribution of transformers to communities across the state.
The statement reads, “the efforts have led to improved electricity installing transformers in strategically selected areas and enhanced economic activities in the affected areas”.
“It is on record that the interventions have also created direct community impact which was implemented with priority on the needs of the people by ensuring that even less urbanized areas benefit from modern electrical infrastructure”
This, the statement says has led to sustainable development by empowering communities through reliable power.
Areas that have benefitted from the energy intervention in the state include but not limited to the following commnities.
Unity Area behind New Ado LGA, Iwaro
on Afao Road, Surulere in Basiri, Marina at Ureje and Onola/Balemo, Behind Pet-Tim on Iworoko Road in the state capital.
Others are Erinfun on Federal Poly Road, Oke Ala at Basiri, Temidire area in Iyin Ekiti, Ifesowapo Community on Federal Poly road, Fiwasaye Abekoko, off Ilawe road and Awajin, off Ikere Road, behind Olujoda as well as Ijadu.
The statement emphasises that Governor Oyebanji has not only ensured that homes and businesses have a steady power supply but has also improved economic and social development across Ekiti State.
“This targeted transformer distribution is one of several bold initiatives that underscore why he has been recognized as the Energy Governor of the Year”, the statement added.
The All Progressives Congress Chieftain also used the medium to congratulate the Governor on the award of Personality of the Year in Good Governance on the Ekiti Helmsman.
Dele Philips stated that his outstanding contributions to the Socio-economic and political development of the state attracted the honour.
