…As Vining College of Theology Marks 109th Founder’s Day Anniversary
Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has charged clergy and the church as a while to keep supporting his administration to continue to impart positively on the lives of the people.
Governor Aiyedatiwa was speaking at the 109th Founder’s Day of Archbishop Vining College of Theology in Akure the state capital.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, the governor said every sector of the economy has started feeling the impact of his administration.
He assured that the present administration would continue to put in place programmes and policies that are geared towards human and societal development.
In his words, “we cannot underestimate the support of the citizens and the church in particular and we are determined to give our best”.
“We have every reason to thank God and we are hopeful that the impact of “OUR EASE” Agenda would continue to be felt in all sectors”.
Aiyedatiwa congratulated the college authority and the Anglican Communion in general for the successes recorded in the over a century existence of the institution.
In his speech, the Rector of the College, Venerable Moses Adetumbi said the institution had continued to grow in strength by providing quality training for the clergy.
Adetumbi said the college has put in place a number of projects to build on the legacies of the founding fathers of the institution.
In his anniversary lecture titled “Theological Education in the Age of AI and Algorithmic Faith”, Prof Olumide Sunday Adewale encouraged clergymen to embrace AI and other components of the internet facilities.
The occasion also witnessed presentation of awards to individuals who have played one role or the other in the development of the college.
