EWATOMILOLA EMIOLA-OWOEYE STRESSES IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABILITY IN EDUCATION SECTOR

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Research and Documentation, Ewatomilola Emiola-Owoeye has stressed the importance of sustainability in education as a way of securing the future of the teeming youths in the country.
The Governor’s Aide also emphasized the need for extensive training for teachers across primary and secondary school levels in Nigeria.
Ewatomilola Emiola-Owoeye was speaking as a panelist at the Southwest Youth Summit 3.0 in Osogbo, Osun State.
The event was organized by the South West Youth Summit Group led by Olumide Fasubaa, brought together esteemed dignitaries, youth groups, students, and young entrepreneurs.
The occasion also provided opportunity for the Governor’s aide to advocate reliable power supply through solar energy and provision of essential resources like internet services and accessible computers.
Emiola-Owoeye said the approach will make learning more accessible, efficient and enable youths in the country to compete globally in the ever-evolving technological landscape.
She echoed Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s message of hope to the Nigerian Youth, urging other Southwest states to follow his lead in reviving tech hubs at the university level.
In her words, “this,I believe will foster innovation and progress throughout the state and also address the technological needs of primary, secondary and tertiary institutions”.
“This summit is a testament to the power of collective action and the importance of empowering young people to drive sustainable development and educational reforms.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Hon. Olagunju, Commissioner for Youth Development; Hon. Abiola Awoyeye, Member of Osun State House of Assembly; and Hon. Dr. Abolarin Kasope Ajibade, Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on SDG, among others.
