EXCITEMENT AS EKITI COMMUNITY ENDORSES OYEBANJI FOR SECOND TERM
…As Residents Laud Governor on Good Governance
In a strong display of love and appreciation, landlords and youths of Ola-Oluwa community in Ado-Ekiti came out in large numbers on Sunday evening to endorse the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for a second term in office.
The community’s endorsement, ahead of the 2026 governorship election, adds to the growing wave of support the Governor continues to enjoy from various groups, associations, and communities across the state.
The occasion was further enlivened by the presence of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, and her husband, Alhaji Sulaimon Adubiaro—both residents of Ola-Oluwa—who were warmly received by the enthusiastic crowd.
In her remarks, Prof. Adubiaro expressed gratitude to the residents for their overwhelming show of support. She noted that the Governor’s growing popularity was a reflection of his outstanding performance in office and his people-centered governance.
“This endorsement by the landlords and youths of Ola-Oluwa is a testament to the widespread love and trust the people of Ekiti have in Governor Oyebanji. What makes it even more significant is that many of these endorsements are voluntary and not induced by any financial incentives,” the SSG stated.
She assured residents that the APC would record a resounding victory in Ola-Oluwa during the next election and encouraged them not to relent in their support, promising more dividends of democracy in return. She highlighted several community benefits facilitated through her office, including financial assistance, empowerment initiatives, and the installation of a new transformer.
“In politics, if you keep mute about your achievements, people won’t know what you have done. Since becoming SSG, I have prioritized the development of this community, because this is my home. I’ve ensured Ola-Oluwa benefits from every available opportunity,” she said, also revealing that road rehabilitation work would soon commence in the area.
She further encouraged residents to take advantage of the upcoming voter registration window to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stating that it is the only way to make their endorsement count in the next election.
Earlier, the community chairman, Pastor Raphael Aruleoba, expressed gratitude to the SSG and her husband for their presence and support. He pledged that the residents would stand solidly behind Governor Oyebanji in 2026.
Similarly, the Unit Chairman, Mr. Ilesanmi Ajayi applauded the Governor’s developmental strides and assured that the APC would achieve a clean sweep in the Ola-Oluwa unit come election time.
Dignitaries at the event included Alhaji Sulaimon Adubiaro, Mr. Ilesanmi Ajayi (Ola-Oluwa Unit Chairman), Dr. Oguntoye, Mr. Peter Ajayi (a.k.a. Apro), Pastor Alonge and several others.
