Family members, friends and well-wishers gathered in Oka-Akoko in Akoko South West local government area of Ondo State on Saturday to bid Pa Bolorunduro Ologun farewell.
It was a reunion and an opportunity to appreciate God for a life well-spent by the erudite farmer, industrialist and community leader.
At the funeral service held at St. Saviour’s African Church, Ikanmu Oka-Akoko, the Vicar-in-Charge, Michael Dadamu described the late Octogenarian as an upright man whose dedication to God’s work was evident in the upbringing of his children.
Guests were later entertained at the reception where sumptuous meals had been made available while a live band was on hand to add glamour to the occasion.
Media giants were also on ground to identify with one of their own as one of the children, Igbekele Ologun is the Head Reportorial Unit of Orange 94.5 FM in Akure the state capital.
The team was led by Taiwo Ibitoye the Director of News and Current Affairs Department and Alhaji Kamarudeen Ishola who is the Deputy Head of News of Orange FM.
His children including Igbekele Ologun said their father’s unwavering commitment to their growth and success will forever remain fresh in their memories.
They described their late father as a loving, kind, and generous man whose legacy lives on in them.
Born in 1935 into the family of Late Pa Ajugba Ologun, Pa Bolorunduro Ologun rose to become a successful industrialist, a renowned cocoa farmer and a proud father of many graduates.
He passed away on January 1st, 2025 at the age of 88.
