FORMER GOVERNOR KAYODE FAYEMI MOURNS PASSING OF OBA EMMANUEL ADEBOWALE ADEBAYO, THE ELEMURE OF EMURE – EKITI.
Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has expressed his deeepest condolences on the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Adebowale Adebayo, Atayerobiagogo, Aminmin III, the Elemure of Emure-Ekiti.
In his condolence message, Dr Fayemi extended his deepest sympathies to the government of Ekiti State, the Emure Royal Family and the people of Emure Ekiti, describing the death of His Royal Majesty as a great loss to the state and the entire Emure Community. The Former Governor stated that the reign of the late monarch brought significant progress and unity to the people of Emure-Ekiti and his dedication to the preservation of our cultural heritage and efforts towards the development of his community and the state at large will be remembered for generations to come.
Dr. Fayemi noted that Oba Adebayo during his lifetime exemplified the qualities of a true leader – compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his subjects and his contributions to the cultural and socio-economic development of Emure-Ekiti are immeasurable and have left an indelible mark on the history of the state. “He was always generous with his wise counsel on security and I benefited greatly from that during my time in office”, Dr. Fayemi stated.
According to the former Governor, “Therefore, as we mourn his departure, we also celebrate a life well-lived, dedicated to service and the betterment of his society. I encourage the Royal Family and the people of Emure-Ekiti to find solace in the remarkable legacy that His Majesty has left behind”.
