FORMER NULGE PRESIDENT TUNDE MONEHIN EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN BOLA AJIMUDA AS MEMBER FEDERAL CHARACTER COMMISSION

Former President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE), Dr. Tunde Monehin has expressed the confidence in the capability of Bola Ajimuda as a member of the Federal Character Commission in Nigeria.

The former Permanent Secretary in a statement said the former student union leader in Ekiti State University, a banker of excellence, a political analyst of note and a proud son of Ondo State has wealth of experience to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Dr. Monehin stated that Bola Ajimuda has not only been a community leader and a social crusader but also a promoter of societal development.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the reappointed Dr Muheeba Dankaka as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission for a second five-year term.

President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Mohammed Musa as the secretary of the Commission, while keeping Kayode Oladele from Ogun in his role as commissioner.

The President has extended the terms of Lawal Ya’u Roni, Abubakar Atiku Bunu, and Eludayo Eluyemi, who represent Jigawa, Kebbi, and Osun States, respectively, for another term.

The newly-appointed Commissioners are:

In his words, Dr. Tunde Monehin congratulated Comrade Bola Ajimuda, noting that he would play his part in ensuring the realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu in repositioning the Socio-economic and political development of the country.

“I congratulate you on this well deserved appointment. I have no doubt that you are a worthy representative of Ondo state in this important commission”.

“I know Shebas record in terms of appointment of people will be surpassed by you. In this commission”.

“I know you will make the South proud because your performance will be excellent. Congratulations, a proud son of the South South”, Dr. Tunde Monehin added.

The Ondo All Progressives Congress Chieftain also acknowledged the various interventions of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in shaping the economy of the state.

Monehin expressed the hope that the significant roles being played by the Governor would not only improve the economy but also facilitate development of the land.
