FORMER NULGE PRESIDENT TUNDE MONEHIN HAILS AIYEDATIWA OVER OKITIPUPA-IGBOKODA ROAD DUALISATION
… Commends appointment of Ajibefun, Poroye, Kufor, Adewinle others into sensitive positions
A former President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE), Dr. Tunde Monehin has commended the infrastructural interventions of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as well as appointment of vibrant professionals into his administration.
In a statement, Monehin who is also a retired Permanent Secretary in the state said the dualisation of Okitipupa-Igbokoda road would not only boost socio-economic and political activities in the area but also compliment the efforts of the Governor at promoting tourism potentials of the riverine area of the state.
Dr. Monehin who is also a leader of the All Progressives Congress in the Southern Senatorial District stressed that the dualisation of the road would facilitate the much needed development of the area.
The former union leader emphasized that the governor’s determination to promote the tourism potentials of the southern part would provide jobs for the teeming youths while existing businesses would receive a boost.
While commending the appointment of a seasoned educationist, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun as a Commissioner-designate, Dr. Monehin expressed the hope that his wealth of experience would play significant roles in the Aiyedatiwa administration.
He also hailed the emergence of Dr. Jide Adewinle as a member of the Southwest Development Commission, assuring that Dr. Adewinle has the wherewithal to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Monehin also expressed the hope that the mandate areas of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission(OSOPADEC) will begin to witness rapid development with the appointment of a vibrant administrator, Biyi Poroye as Chairman of the commission.
The former Permanent Secretary also felicitated Dr. Kufor on his appointment as Executive Member of OSOPADEC, urging the appointee to keep contributing his quota to the development of the mandate areas and the state in general.
