

The leading contestant for the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 comprising Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero Local Government Areas on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Dele Philips has expressed confidence that he would carry the day at the forthcoming primary election of the party.
The international business mogul who was speaking with newsmen shortly after submitting his nomination and expression of interest forms in Abuja said his campaign organization has been working with all relevant stakeholders in the party both at the local and state levels.
Mr. Philips stressed that meetings and consultations held in the three local government areas making the constituency have shown that the people are poised for a robust representation which he assured would impart positively on the lives of the people.
The aspirant who was represented by a Chieftain of the party from Efon Alaaye, Mr. Ayo Olatunbosun assured party leaders as well as delegates that they would be prioritized as shareholders and stakeholders in the party.




Mr. Philips who is a key player in the hospitality industry as well as real estate development analysed the processes being put in place to ensure that the youths in the area are uplifted in line with his idea of empowerment.
In his words, “I am disturbed when I read that our youths are empowered with ‘Okada’ in an age when globally-linked opportunities abound. How do we explain the situation where graduates have to ride Okada to survive? We will change that orientation”, the business mogul stated.
“With constitutional provisions, there are structures that we can put in place to facilitate government involvement which many legislators have not been tapping into. I urge the delegates to reflect on my little impact on the society both politically and societally”, Dele Philips maintained.




Speaking with newsmen in a phone chat, Director of Administration of Dele Phillips Foundation, Chief Ebenezer Adebusuyi said Dele Philips remains the most qualified for the ticket of the party for the house of representatives election in the constituency.
This he said would attract victory to the APC at the general elections considering the various interventions carried out in the 33 wards of the constituency, stressing that public opinion has shown that the people want a change from ancient representation to what it requires with a high degree of networking being witnessed today.
