GBOGI EMMANUEL DITCHES APC, CITES POVERTY, MISERY UNDER PARTY’S WATCH
A party stalwart of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State has resigned his party membership .
In a letter of resignation dated 23rd September, 2024, addressed to the Chairman, ward 6 (Ebo, Owake and Ayegunle) Honourable Gbogi Emmanuel stated that it was a well thought out resolution after a wide range of consultations with “my immediate family , friends, political associates and particularly my political structures across Akoko land and beyond”
According to an official letter personally signed by him “my decision stems from failure of the party to continue to uphold the true tenets of democracy which include fairness, justice equity, impartiality , rewards for loyalty and bringing dividends of democracy to the masses”.
Aside from the new practice of robbing Peter to pay Paul that it is norm and standard particularly Ondo State APC. which was very evident in the decision to rescind my earlier appointment as the pioneer caretaker Chairman of the Akoko South West LCDA.
We are all witnesses to shobby and shoddy primary election that produced the APC flag bearer in the forthcoming November Gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
There is no doubt that APC is now weapon of poverty and misery for the masses, evident in the economic hardship that plagues our land dastardly .
Honourable Gbogi Emmanuel posited that politics is not about winning election , it is about bringing soccur and dividends of democracy to the people we represent .
