GOV AIYEDATIWA’S CPS DONATES N1M TO NUJ TO SUPPORT POWER SUPPLY TO PRESS CENTRE
– Adeniyan has been a good ambassador of the journalism profession, says NUJ
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, has donated N1million to the Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The donation is to support an improvement in the supply of regular electricity to the Press Centre, the union’s secretariat in Akure.
Prince Adeniyan presented the donation to the union’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Hakeem Gbadamosi, at the February edition of the monthly Congress of the NUJ in Akure on Thursday.
The CPS said the donation is part of his monthly support for media organisations in the state which started in February 2024.
The Governor’s spokesman thanked the union, media organizations and practitioners in the State for their support for the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Responding after the presentation, the union’s vice chairman, Gbadamosi, thanked the CPS for the donation as well as his continued support to the union and the media in the state.
He said the CPS, who is a former state and national officer of the NUJ, has been a good ambassador of the union and the journalism profession.
Gbadamosi also thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for reappointing Adeniyan as CPS, describing the reappointment as a reward for the hardwork and efforts of Adeniyan in projecting the image of the Governor and his administration.
A special prayer was offered for the CPS to have a successful tenure in office.
