
GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA TO CARRY OUT WEEK-LONG WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
The Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his commitment to providing an enabling environment for women to explore and fulfill their potentials.
The Governor was represented by the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye, at the Women and Youth Empowerment by Friendsociates in collaboration with the National Council for Women Societies NCWS at the Dome in Akure yesterday.
The Governor announced that a weeklong Empowerment programme for women would be taking place in the state to further boost women’s economic viability as a commitment of his administration to the people of Ondo state.
Dr Aiyedatiwa said that the government was also committed to quality Healthcare delivery for women and Free medical care in rural communities.
The Governor assured that the Odatiwa administration would tap into all resources including the renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON CON agenda on Agricultural Empowerment project for women, Economic empowerment project for women and other benefits from strategic stakeholders, Local, National and international partners
He said his administration was not only for privileged people but for all citizens and residents of Ondo state to benefit from.
He appreciated Friendsociates and National Council for Women Societies for coming up with this empowerment. And the proposed provision of three resource centers and other materials for women farmers.
The Governor emphasised the oppeness of his administration to acknowledge supports of non governmental organisations, partners and stakeholders to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Ondo state.
Earlier in their Addresses, First , the president of the National Council for Women Societies NCWS, Mrs. Ednah Azura, appreciated the Governor of Ondo state, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for the development strides in the empowerment of women and ensuring inclusive government for all. Mrs Azura promised the total supports of women to the success of his administration.
Also, Ondo State President of NCWS, Bishop Odusola appreciated the Governor of Ondo State for his fatherly commitment to NCWS and the entire state and also thank Friendsociates for the collaboration.!
The Chairman of Friendsociates, Mr Biyi Poroye applauds The Aiyedatiwa Administration for its giant strides in women and human Capital development. He particularly thank the Governor for offering to take over the hispital bill of one of the NCWS’s member’s sick son.
The programme manager, dr Morinola Olanipekun similarly, appreciates the governor for all he is doing for Ondo state women and emphasised their efforts is to support him.
Other Speakers Includes The Comptroller of Immigration, Mrs Amaka Amara who gave the keynote address and emphasised the dangers of illegal migration and charged women to monitor their children.
