The APC House of Assembly candidate for Oye Constituency 1 in the 2023 general elections, Mr Tope Longe has condoled with the government of Ekiti state and the family of the Late Speaker of Ekiti state House of Assembly, Honourable Funminiyi Afuye over his transition to eternal glory. Longe, a one time Council Chairman of Oye L.G described the demise of the Rt Hon speaker as a big blow to him, ikere community, Ekiti state and the progressive family in Nigeria.
Longe who described Hon Afuye as a brilliant lawyer, journalist and a close confidant said growing up under his tutelage was a life changing experience.
In a statement issued in Ado Ekiti today, Longe admonished the family with God’s word in the book of Isiah Chapter no 57 and verse 1 which says … ” Death taketh the righteous before the evil days”. He also prayed that The Almighty Jehovah grant the faithful departed eternity and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Longe also commiserated with the Governor of Ekiti State H.E, Abiodun Oyebanji on the demise of this illustrious son of our dear state.
