HOW FRIENDS, ASSOCIATES, FAMILY MEMBERS CELEBRATED CONGRESSMAN BIMBO DARAMOLA AT 55

It was a great outing for a former member of the House of Representatives in Ekiti State, Hon. Bimbo Daramola on Wednesday as he celebrated 55th birthday anniversary.
Though there was no special event created to mark the day, friends, political associates, family members as well as well wishers took to various social media platforms to identify with a man they described as a pride of Ekiti State and Nigeria.
The Ekiti-born politician and community leader who had represented Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 and the candidate of Social Democratic Party in the 2023 House of Representatives election was amazed as the various congratulatory messages poured in from within and outside the country.
According to Engr. Ayo Ogunsakin, “Hon. Bimbo Daramola is someone I admire a lot. He has a carriage that towers beyond his peers. He is a man of robust intellect, oratorical prowess and very deep insight”.
“I used to compare him to a Socrates addressing people at Athens whenever he stood-up to speak in the 7th Assembly. Interarlia, through his portrayal in Plato’s dialogues, Socrates became renowned for his contribution to the field of ethics, and it is this Platonic Socrates who lends his name to the concepts of Socratic irony and the Socratic method, or elenchus.’’
Ogunsakin emphasized that “Hon. Bimbo Daramola has been a fundamental insight in representation or a reference not only in Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 but Ekiti State as a whole”.
He stressed that “we all understand a standing point at which we could lay comparison to representations before him at the lower chamber of the National Assembly and thereafter, one may conclude that Egbon Bimbo has a larger feet that may take a longer time to find a replacement size”.
“At 55 today and always, may God grant him grace to live within all tenets of democratic socialism and by extension an ample opportunities to create more empowerments (community welfarist socialism) for his people”, the fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers added.
In his words, Mr. Yemi Ajayi Abega described Hon. Bimbo Daramola as a man of exceptional character and a central source of inspiration to young talents.
“You are an example of determination and courage for everyone and thank you for being such a great father as well as a compassionate boss”, he said.
He stressed that “If I had not connected with you, I would not have reached where I am today. The progress I have so far could only be ascribed your and support and mentorship”.
Similarly, Mrs. Bosede Fajuyi-Akinlabi stated that the level of impact the Congressman had made both on individuals and communities remain a reference point in terms of legislative representation.
She prayed for more wisdom and knowledge as Hon. Daramola forges ahead to represent the good people of Ekiti Federal Constituency 1 at the National Assembly.
In his congratulatory message, Mr. Lanre Olusola Aribisala described the rediscovery of the Congressman as “a great privilege after many years of separation”.
“You’re truly different and distinct from others. Your morally measured approach and passion to achieve what you set out to do are so remarkable and truly inspirational. You have guided us all, your followers and admirers, in the right direction and motivated us to do our very best. Thank you for being such a wonderful leader”, Aribisala emphasized.
Meanwhile, at a small get-together organised in his honour in Abuja, Honourable Daramola appreciated all those who identified with him on his special day, describing the honour as a challenge to keep contributing to human and societal development.
Hon. Daramola stated that his quest to represent his people at the National Assembly was borne out of the desire to equip more people and institutions with the hope of achieving an unusual multiplier effect.
