It’s the story of a young man with passion to contribute to his society as well as lives of individuals around him.

Since childhood, Dele Philips who hails from Aramoko-Ekiti in Ekiti West local government area of Ekiti State has always been proactive by showing interest in what could improve lives of his people.

With a robust background from a cultured home, Dele Philips was focused and has been in the forefront of championing the cause of his people both at the academic and struggling stages of life.

Dele Phillips holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from University of Ado Ekiti and also obtained a Diploma in Hospitality and Property Management in the United Kingdom.

Having come from a prominent home from Aramoko-Ekiti, his parents did not only create economic platforms for indigenes to thrive, they also partook in the process of ensuring social recognition for their people.

It is also on record that his father was part of the structures that ensured the unity of Nigeria and also fought for the existence of the country and by extension, the current democracy the nation is enjoying today.

As the CEO Deephill Investments, he has has over 15 years experience in marketing, hospitality and property management both in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and Nigeria

With his determination to contribute to immediate and remote environment, Dele Philips passed through a great degree of tutelage in many organisations and eventually tapped into his academic background to influence the business environment, not only in Nigeria but also in many countries outside Nigeria.

One of his exploits is the successful completion of 9th Avenue Hotels and the successful stories of Phillips Property as well as Phillips Exchange in Dubai to mention a few.

The urbane businessman succeeded in completing a 5-star resort called SHORES HOTEL and RESORT in Lekki area of Lagos.

The gigantic project sits on four hectares of land and boasts of restaurants, gyms, artificial lakes, an Olympic size swimming pool and a cinema.

The 80-room resort is situated beside the Free Trade zone complex, Lekki, Lagos.

The resort is a a classic all-stop complex, especially for the busy Dangote refinery and Free Trade zone workers as well as the numerous high-end visitors who will be falling in to do business in the area.

Shores Hotel and resort Lekki is a member of Deephill Investments, Shores Hotel, 9th Avenue Hotels, Phillips Property and Philips Exchange in Dubai promoted by city big boy, Dele Philips.

In the process of touching lives in line with the dreams he has had in life, the Aramoko-Ekiti-born international business mogul established Dele Philips Foundation which has played significant roles in the socio-economic and political development of his area.

This foundation has become a household name in his constituency, Ekiti State and beyond as the objectives of the foundation is being taken to another level as women, children, market women as well as community leaders and the political class are having a feel of what Dele Philips Foundation stands for.

It’s on record that he has empowered ninety-nine market women in the thirty-three wards in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 which comprises Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero local government areas.

The women have continued to appreciate a gesture carried out without any attachment to anything in return.

This has continued to attract them to this man whose passion is mainly to touch lives and transform human existence.

Investigations into the various activities of Dele Philips Foundation revealed that about seventy pupils and students are being sponsored in various primary and secondary schools across the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 with their parents and guardians confirming the place of the international real estate player in their existence.

While the individuals and society at large are benefitting from the large heart of the international business mogul, his party affiliation has also received a boost with attraction of a large number of citizens of the state to his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party has been better for it.

To add value, he purchased a property in Efon Alaaye, renovated and furnished the building as the local government party secretariat.

The existing ones at Aramoko-Ekiti and Ijero were also rehabilitated and tastefully furnished.

His contributions to the success of the APC in the last governoship election can never go unnoticed.

Apart from donation of campaign vehicles in support of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji Campaign Organisation, he played significant roles as the Chairman of BAO Campaign Committee in Ekiti West local government area.

In terms of community development, the bridge linking Ogunwa and Oroke in Ido-Ile in Ekiti West Local Government Area which had been bad for about four years was reconstructed by the Dele Philips Foundation.

All his exploits have continued to attract both local and international organisations who have been honouring his personality and outfits attached to his name, especially with the giant strides being recorded.

All these explain why and how this pride of his generation emerged the BEST PHILANTHROPIST OF THE YEAR as pronounced at a well attended programme by community leaders, traditional authorities, representatives of the media, key players in the movie industry as well as well wishers.

All roads led to the Ministry of Women Affairs Event hall, Alagbaka in Akure, Ondo state as as Damyfad Films Productions premiered her latest movie titled “Sebiotimo” and Award Presentation.

The event saw Dele Philips emerged as the Best Philanthropist of the Year.

The Producer of the movie, Chief(Mrs.) Fadekemi Ologbese said Mr. Dele Philips has made his mark in the business world and had also touched numerous lives, calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate Dele Philips whose foundation has become a platform for lifting people out of poverty, irrespective of political or social background.

This is not the first time, Dele Philips would be honoured.

The enterprising real estate player and hospitality business guru once bagged the Outstanding Businessman and Inspiring Leadership Award at the fourth Timeline Awareness Initiatives/Award that held at The Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja Lagos.

According to the organisers, Philips was recognised and awarded based on his exemplary business sagacity and leadership qualities which have always distinguished him from his peers over the years.
