
ISE-EKITI AGOG AS CHIEF(MRS) JULIANA ABE CELEBRATES 90TH BIRTHDAY
…Event Attracted Traditional Rulers, Top Government Officials and Guests From Far And Near
Ise-Ekiti the headquarters of Ise/Orun local government area was agog on Saturday September 27th, 2025 as family, friends and well wishers converged on the ancient town to celebrate a nonagenarian, Chief (Mrs) Juliana Oluwasesan Abe on the occasion of her 90th birthday.
The event which attracted guests and family members from within and outside the country was a display of love and recognition for a woman described as virtuous, considerate, focused, hardworking, loving, caring and God-fearing.
The celebrant is also the Osemowe of Ise-Ekiti, a traditional title for a woman saddled with the responsibility of being the leader of women in the ancient town.
The event commenced at St. Phillips African Church in the town where a thanksgiving service was held and presided over by Archbishop of Ekiti Province and Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Most Revd J.B Ayoko.
The occasion also attracted the Arinjale of Ise-Ekiti and the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti as well as other personalities.
In his sermon, the Bishop, Most Revd J.B Ayoko described Chief(Mrs) Juliana Oluwasesan Abe as a woman of substance and a lover of her people.
He acknowledged the various contributions of the celebrant and her family to the development of the church and evangelism in the area.
Attention was later shifted to the Civic Centre in the town where friends , family and guests gathered to celebrate with the Osemowe of Ise-Ekiti.
There was much to eat and drink as various groups also displayed a high degree of show of love for the celebrant.
The event also featured presentation of gifts as well as recitation of Mama Juliana Oluwasesan Abe’s praise chant(Oriki) by the ‘Obinrin Iles’.
Addressing the gathering, the celebrant appreciated the show of love, describing the moment as a challenge to keep being who she is.
She acknowledged all those who came together to put up the honour done her and prayed for more good things of life for them.
Some of the children who include, Chief(Mrs) Bolanle Fasuan, Mr. Gbadebo Abe, Mrs Ronke Agbeyo, Mrs Bola Onyegbula, Bola and Bobola Akomolede and Mr Morakinyo Abe and Wife who spoke with Naijaparrots.com said their mother remains a reference point in measuring commited mother and loyal wife.
