
Following the Intervention of the Iralepo of Isikan, Oba Olugbenga Ajimokunola, the Isikan markets and shops that were opened earlier today have been shut.
Naijaparrots reporter, Demola Kunlere who witnessed the shutting at Arakale and the Neighborhood market reports that the market women were seen covering the wares already displayed.



The Iralepo, Oba Olugbenga Ajimokunola had earlier spoken with newsmen in the morning that the Intervention of the state government led to the decision of the community.
He emphasized that the decision was basically to allow peace to reign, noting that the Aheregbe festival is basically celebrated in Akure and not in Isikan.
He further added that decision was taken for security purpose.


The traditional ruler emphasized that the government through the deputy governor had called for such decision to prevent breakdown of law and order.
Oba Ajimokunola appealed to the residents of Isikan to be calm, assuring that the issues have reached a level it would be nipped in the bud.
