LACOT INAUGURATES ONDO CENTRAL COORDINATORS
…as Dr. Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” donates 25 branded buses to ease group operations
The inauguration of the six local government coordinators of Lucky Aiyedawa campaign Organisation for Tinubu (LACOT) took place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Head office of the Group in Akure.
To carry out the exercise were the Director General of the mobilisation outfit, Hon. Idowu Otetubi; Deputy Director General (Central), Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu who is fondly called “Cubana”; the State Secretary of the group, Hon. Bisi Ogungbemi; the State Director of Finance, Hon. Lade Fasua and Hon. Akin Adeniyi, coordinator, Akure North and Akure South Federal Constituency.
The gathering witnessed selected political gladiators whose worth and prowess are respected in Ondo State politics.
LACOT was commissioned to shore up grassroots support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, and members were recruited across the state to undertake this important assignment.
Hon. Otetubi, a veteran politician who has held many important political positions in the state, appealed to the Heads of mobilisation in each local government to work with their leaders in ensuring the actualisation of this noble objective.
He assured the participants of adequate logistics that will smoothen their assignments based on the peculiarities of their terrains.
“All the political appointees are automatic members, and the group got the nod of Mr Governor as it enjoys presidential backing.” Otetubi further stressed.
He equally charged members to drive the recruitment to the rural areas and engage in awareness campaigns to educate voters about the superlative reforms of Tinubu- led administration in tackling many inherited challenges in Nigeria.
Hon. Otetubi appreciated the attendance of these leaders with towering influence in Ondo state political spaces and really acknowledged their enormous contributions to democratic growth and stability in the State.
Sharing the same sentiments with the DG, Dr Olumuyiwa Adu fondly called “Cubana”, the DDG (Central) assured the members of adequate support from his office to really encourage the tasks ahead.
He bemoaned the selfish attitude of many politicians and their overbearing stance to dominate by force.
“We should all cooperate with Governor Aiyedatiwa as he attends the infrastructural deficits in the state. Akure Metropolitan is now wearing a new look.
“Politicians should stop disrespecting the office of Mr Governor. He is our Leader in Ondo State, any insult thrown at his person is an injury to all.” He informed.
Dr Adu admonished the leaders to work together as family members, lending helping hands to one another when the need arises.
“We should also eschew bitter politics, and reach out to those who have gone astray and bring them back to the path of righteousness.” He sermonised.
Dr Adu promised adequate rewards for members, assuring them that their efforts would not go without compensation.
The philanthropist and Ondo Central Senatorial Hopeful donated 25 branded buses to ease the operations of the group and promised to do more as events unfold.
In his address, the State Secretary- General of the Group,
Hon. Bisi Ogungbemi described LACOT members as the political trumpeters who would take the gospel of Tinubu and APC to all the nooks and crannies of the State. He reinforced confidence in the capability of Dr Adu to manage the campaigns with all the vigour and seriousness it deserves.
He advised members to adequately commit themselves to political struggle as the chairman/ Convener, His Eminence Dipo Okeyomi aka “Carry go” is solidly behind the group like the Rock of Gibraltar.
Responding to the addresses earlier given, various speakers pledged their loyalty and solidarity to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and expressed their unflinching loyalty to the political struggle.
They, however, pleaded with Gov Aiyedawa and the party stakeholders to ensure the emergence of popular aspirants as the candidates of the party in the forthcoming primaries so as to make the campaigns easier for the mobilisers.
The formation will be domesticated up to the polling units to synergize progressive partnership with the party hierarchies towards strengthening the APC at the state and at the grassroots levels to secure overwhelming electoral triumph at the polls.

1. Akure South – Mr. Sunday Faleye
2. Akure North – Pastor. Boluwaji Olorunfemi
3. Ondo East – Hon. Olawumi Oluwaseyi
4. Ondo West – Hon. Adeboye Taofeek Ewenla
5. Idanre – Hon. Akinroluyo Olajide
6. Ifedore – Hon. Ayodeji Orikogbo
