The President of Lujama, an umbrella body of all Ondo Kingdom Indigenes in the civil service of Ondo State, Felix Okunade Akinkuotu has urged members to continue to play their parts in taking the state to greater heights.
Akinkuotu who is an an astute administrator and accountant was speaking With newsmen shortly after a monthly meeting of the members of the association in Akure.
Akinkuotu who currently serves as the Director of Accounts in the ministry of information emphasized that civil servants as the engine room of execution of government programmes must be loyal and committed.
This, he said would facilitate efficient service delivery while the people who are the beneficiaries would appreciate the contribution of government and the civil servants.
Akinkuotu stressed that the Ondo State government has put in place structures and processes that would herald a vibrant public service, reflecting on the administrative dexterity of the Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip who has since created a new orientation for civil servants in the state.
The Ondo Kingdom -born astute administrator acknowledged the Aiyedatiwa-led administration for prioritising welfare of workers with a focus towards achieving a common purpose.
Akinkuotu emphasized that apart from Ondo, Lagos and Rivers States, no other state has met up with the N35,000 wage award expected to be paid to civil servants in the state after the removal of petroleum subsidy as urged by the federal government.
While noting that the civil service in Ondo state remains one of the best in the country, the President assured that all required logistics are being put in place to impart on brilliant but indigent students in the kingdom.
