MAY DAY CELEBRATION:
EKITI APC LEADER , DELE PHILIPS FELICITATES WORKERS, URGES MORE SUPPORT FOR OYEBANJI ADMINISTRATION
As Ekiti State workers join their counterparts across the globe to celebrate this year’s Workers Day, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and employer of labour, Mr.Dele Philips has felicitated them on yet another anniversary.
This was according to a statement signed by his media aide, Iyiola Adetola and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti to acknowledge the contributions of workers to the development of the state.
Dele Philips emphasised that the workers are the engine room of the various achievements being recorded by Governor Biodun Oyebanji across the state.
He said the transformation is evident in the area of infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, human development and payment of outstanding pensions and gratuities.
“I particularly rejoice with you for witnessing an era of numerous welfare packages by the present administration under the leadership of our amiable worker-friendly Governor, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji who prioritizes the well-being of the workers, both serving and retired.”
“Let me also appreciate the harmonious relationship, based on mutual engagement and dialogue, that the leadership of the Organised Labour has maintained with the government over time.”
“I am of the hope of government’s unrelenting commitment to workers’ welfare in the State. I am optimistic that Governor is resolute about raising a virile and well-motivated workforce capable of delivering on government programmes and policies.”
He therefore urged workers in the state to continue to support the Oyebanji administration in its quest to make Ekiti a reference point among comity of states in the country.
