METHODIST CHURCH ORIN-EKITI HOLDS 2025 HARVEST THANKSGIVING CEREMONY
…As Family and friends Identify With Lady Blessing Ilori As A Chair Holder
It was a glorious outing on Sunday as Methodist Church Nigeria, Orin Local Church of the Diocese of Ifaki in Ekiti State had its 2025 Harvest thanksgiving ceremony.
The event attracted personalities from within and outside the state including former Governor Segun Oni, the Olu of Oke-Lisa in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State and many others.
In his homily, the Bishop of Kwara Methodist Church, the Rt. Revd. J.F Osifuwa called on christians to prioritise thanksgiving as a way of acknowledging the kindness of God.
The Cleric emphasized that harvest period is as a result of God’s command, stressing the need to always play significant roles in moving the work of God forward.
Bishop Osifuwa commended members of the congregation for living up to expectations and urged them not only to sustain but also improve on it.
This year’s harvest thanksgiving ceremony featured no fewer than 13 Chair holders.
They include Lady Blessing Ebun Ilori of Ifelola Society, Sister Olufunmilayo Awolere of Ileri Ayo Society, Bro Rufus Olusegun Ajayi of Imole Ayo Society, Bro Olusegun Olatoye of Olaoluwa Society and Chief(Mrs) Theresa Aroge of Agba Ijo Igbalaye Society, among others.
One of the Chair Holders, Lady Blessing Ebun Ilori described the development as a great opportunity to serve in the vineyard.
Lady Ilori whose husband was a Chief of Staff and Information Commissioner in Ekiti State stated that her contribution to the work of God would not be limited to the harvest event but a continuous one.
Similarly, the husband to the Chair Holder, Sir(Barr) Olusegun Ilori said being a Prince from the town, his family had always been involved in supporting the work of God.
He appreciated all those who supported his family to play their part in justifying the family’s position in the church and the town, assuring that there would also be an improvement.
A reception was later held for guests of the Iloris at their residence where friends from far and near gathered to identify with the family.
