MUYIWA ADU SENDS CONDOLENCES AS OLOBA OF OBA-ILE, OBA JOSEPH AJAGUNGBADE JOINS HIS ANCESTORS
An Akure- born billionaire and a Chieftain of APC in Ondo State, Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu ( CUBANA) has sent his condolences to the people of Oba- Ile over the passing of their revered monarch, Oba (Dr) Joseph Oluwadare Ajagungbade, Otutubiosun 1.
The sad event was communicated through the traditional channels to the public yesterday, signalling the end of an event- filled era of the beloved Kabiyesi who was renowned for education, truth, wisdom, fairness, justice, valour, morality and community development.
During his long and peaceful reign, Oba- ile, his domain witnessed a lot of infrastructural development, modern exposure, urban expansion and mutual respect among the comity of ancient Yoruba towns with cultural identities.
Dr Adu in his official statement through his Media Council said: “The transition is an irreplaceable loss that will leave a big vacuum and grief.
“Kabiyesi lived long and lived well but his demise is painful especially to those of us who relied on his wealth of experience and shared his passion for excellence and capacity enhancement.
“He stood tall when the occasion arose for display of bravery, cerebrality and kindness.
The scholar-king will not only be sorely missed by his subjects and Ondo state traditional rulers but by the residents of all Akure speaking communities.
“We shall continue to celebrate his contributions to his families, his community and to the traditional and academic institutions while mourning his exit.”
Dr Adu prayed for a merciful journey for the departed soul and comfort for all his loved ones.
