NASRDA DG ADEPOJU HARPS ON EXCELLENCE, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND COMMITMENT TO WORK
The Director-General and Chief Executive, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju, has charged the management and staff of NASRDA to embrace excellence, accountability, and commitment as the Agency embarks on a new era of transformation and growth in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration.
Dr. Adepoju made this statement while addressing the Management and Staff of the Agency at its Headquarters in Abuja.
While reminding members of staff on the need for improved commitment and dedication to duty, the NASRDA Chief Executive lauded their intelligence and resilience, recognizing the importance of new reforms, policies, and programme under the New Agenda of the Space Agency.
He added that the efforts and dedication of young minds of the Agency, is the reason behind its groundbreaking achievements and called for a renewed focus on innovation and efficiency.
The NASRDA Boss described the Agency as a high-tech environment, referring to staff as the software that drives its operations towards the actualization of its mandate.
According to him, the Agency is blessed with a crop of intelligencias who are basically the brains behind the innovation and achievements of NASRDA over the years.
The NASRDA helmsman also commended the Department of Media and Corporate Communications for its strategic role in effective reportage of the Agency’s activities, stating that the media is strategic in blowing the trumpet and showcase the Agency’s accomplishments.
He emphasized the critical need for real time reporting and storytelling in amplifying the Agency’s achievements on the global stage.
Dr Adepoju also unveiled plans to upgrade NASRDA’s infrastructure, which includes the development of a new logo and a series of new products that are in the pipeline.
He said the Agency would also adopt a Space intelligence unit, to enhance the security measures and the implementation of strict background checks for visitors.
Dr. Adepoju advised staff to adhere to official working hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM to enhance staff productivity and performance.
Highlight of the event was a session of contributions on innovative ways to move the Agency forward by directors and members of staff.
