
NASRDA SPOKESMAN, DR FELIX ALE CHARGES MEDIA ON DEFENCE OF DEMOCRACY, HAILS LEKE ADEGBITE’S RE-ELECTION AS ONDO NUJ CHAIRMAN
The Spokesman of National Space Research and Development Agency, (NASRDA), Dr. Felix Ale has hailed the re-election of Prince Leke Adegbite as Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Ondo State.
Dr. Ale who started his career as a journalist in the Sunshine State and member of the council described Adegbite as a versatile journalist with enviable exposure and administrative experience.
The Media Scholar said, the NUJ Chairman has not only inspired him by his conduct as a brother and colleague but has brought to bear his enviable character to excel where some past Chairmen of the Council has failed or lost track of confidence from members of the Union.
He said the renewal of his mandate is indeed a mark of confidence members reposed in the re-elected Chairman and expressed the hope that he will keep playing his part in taking the profession to greater heights.
Dr. Ale commended media practitioners in the State for displaying maturity, ethical standards and promoting peaceful coexistence among residents in the state.
The Media Icon also called on media Practitioners to keep playing their part in defending and promoting democracy as there are no alternatives to democratic governance.
He called for vigilance and support with the State government to address the rising cases of insecurity in the State.
