NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: GMT WOMEN GROUP HOLDS SPECIAL PRAYER SESSION FOR TINUBU, NIGERIA
Women under the platform of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT) on Friday converged on Akure, the Ondo State capital, for a special prayer session for Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event, which took place at the GMT headquarters, brought together Iyalajes and Iyalojas from the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
The programme featured praise and worship sessions, alongside prayers offered in both Islamic and Christian traditions, seeking divine guidance for President Tinubu, his administration, and the peace and prosperity of Nigeria.
Speaking at the gathering, the GMT Woman Leader, Hon. Olamide Falana, described the interfaith prayer as a symbol of unity and commitment to national progress.
“As women, we understand the power of prayer and unity. Today, we are lifting up our dear country and our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, before God. We believe that through these prayers, Nigeria will overcome its challenges and move into a season of peace and prosperity.” She said
Hon. Falana also charged women to continue supporting the administration.
“We must not only pray but also spread the message of hope and renewal at the grassroots. Our duty is to let our people know the efforts being made by President Tinubu to rebuild the economy and restore confidence.”
Also speaking, the GMT Director-General, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, urged the women to carry the message of the Renewed Hope agenda to their various local government areas, stressing that grassroots enlightenment is vital in strengthening public confidence in government policies.
After the prayers, the GMT leadership met with the women’s groups and tasked them with propagating the achievements of the Tinubu administration at the grassroots level.
The event was sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who was hailed for his commitment to grassroots political development in Ondo State.
The women pledged to sustain their prayers for the President and the country, while intensifying advocacy for the administration’s programmes and achievements.
